About Never Alone
Who should use the Chatline?
Anyone can call Never Alone. The Chatline's resources are focused on youth in Montreal. Chatline volunteers can provide answers to common questions and refer chatters to local organisations that provide a variety of services. Chatline volunteers cannot provide medical or other advice. They can share accurate information in a supportive context.
If you are experiencing a crisis or if someone is in danger, please call 9-1-1.
How is this different from other services?
The Chatline is distinguished from services like Info Sante and 2-1-1 because of the supportive context in which we provide information. Our volunteers take a harm reductive, non-directional approach. The Chatline is also specifically geared toward youth in the Montreal area, and volunteers can share information about official services as well as unofficial ones (like crowd funds and Facebook groups).
Who operates the Chatline?
Never Alone is a project of Head & Hands. The Chatline is operated by a diverse group of volunteers.
